Overview

TELECOMMUNICATIONS MECHANIC II (PSTS-2025-23879):

Bowhead seeks a Telecommunications Mechanic II for a newly awarded contract effort to provide Base Telecom Support at the Puget Sound, WA Shipyard and satellite locations. The effort will provide telecommunications operations and maintenance (O&M). This includes secure and reliable, classified and unclassified, voice and data services in support of Command, Control, Computer, Communications and Information (C4I) operations and exercises. 

Responsibilities

Essential functions will include:

  • Operate and maintain government-owned telephony switches (PBX), including:Nortel Meridian Option 81c
  • Perform:Troubleshooting and repair of switch issuesSoftware updates and patchingInstallation and configuration of switch hardwareDaily operation monitoringSupport for voicemail systems and IPE (Remote Intelligent Peripheral Equipment)
