The Back-End Software Engineer is an expert in designing, implementing and testing the Back-End software solutions for Ground Segment systems oriented to cloud native applications.

The Back-End software engineer shall have hands-on experience (at least 3 years working experience) designing and coding enterprise applications using multi-device, multi-platform development based on Microservices architectures paradigm.

Candidate must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment and should be familiar with Agile SCRUM methodology.

Activities/Responsibilities

  • To design, develop and test at unit level the software solutions on ever-changing modern technology in public/hybrid cloud environments

  • To adopt DevSecOps process

  • To contribute to the technical project documentation (such as Requirements Documents, Operations Concept Document, Operations Engineering Plan, User and Administration Manual, Test Procedures, etc.)

  • To assist in project reviews if/when required

  • Software Design Principles

  • Proven Experience in Microservices applications design

  • Proven Knowledge of Programming Languages: Java, Python

  • Proven knowledge of Back-End-end techniques: SpringBoot, API Gateway, Message Queue (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc)

  • Basic Knowledge of Front-end techniques (Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, Flask, Liferay) and integration principles with Back-End side is appreciated

  • Knowledge of design and deployment of DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines is appreciated

  • Knowledge of security coding standards (OWASP, CWE/SANS)

  • Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and CaaS concept

  • Knowledge of Container Orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc)

  • knowledge of Linux scripting

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace and Information Engineering (3 or 5 years)

  • High-level written and verbal English communication skills

  • Knowledge of Quality standards metrics for software coding

    • Further Skills:

  • Proven knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL) and not relational database and analytics (MongoDB, Elastic)

  • Proven Knowledge about configuration management domain (GIT, GITLAB, etc)

  • Proven Knowledge of software security mechanisms (encryption, signature)

  • Experience in Multiple technology stacks application development

  • Experience writing for Applications automation in Cloud

  • Experience with Cloud environments
