TCS is looking for Terraform Developer

Required technical skill: GCP Terraform

Must have skill:

• Strong expertise in Terraform and Hashi-Corp Configuration Language (HCL).
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services: VPC, IAM, Big-Query, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Composer.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies Docker, Kubernetes and Git-Ops work-flows.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, encryption, and compliance frameworks.

Good to have skill:

• 3–8 years in cloud development with at least 3+ years in Terraform and GCP.
• Experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development and integration with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Google Cloud Professional Certification (Data Engineer or Cloud Architect).
• HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (preferred).

Roles and responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform across GCP environments.
• Develop reusable Terraform modules and templates following best practices for scalability and maintainability.
• Integrate Terraform workflows with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
• Implement policy-as-code using Terraform Sentinel or Open Policy Agent (OPA) for compliance and governance.
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure secure-by-default infrastructure designs , encryption, and IAM best practices.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and cost management through automation and tagging strategies.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and perform incident response for Terraform-managed environments.
