The Role Rainforest Distribution is seeking a Territory Sales Manager (Area Sales Manager–level role) to own and grow a defined grocery territory. This is a hands-on, field-based position responsible for driving sales, managing retail relationships, and ensuring strong in-store execution across assigned accounts. This position is ideal for someone with grocery, CPG, or DSD experience who is comfortable being in stores daily and takes ownership of their territory like a business. Key Responsibilities Own sales performance within an assigned territory Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, buyers, and vendor partners Write and process customer orders as needed (daily/weekly) Open and activate new accounts within the territory Grow existing accounts through additional placements, new items, and brand introductions Support retail initiatives including new item launches, displays, promotions, and resets Ensure Rainforest products are well-merchandised, in stock, and presented to company and store standards Monitor inventory levels to minimize out-of-stocks and returns Coordinate with store teams on inventory, promotions, and seasonal programs Submit daily photo documentation and brief recaps as requested Participate in meetings, training, and ongoing development with the Rainforest team What We’re Looking For Must-Have Qualifications 3 years' experience in grocery, CPG, DSD sales, or merchandising Experience calling on grocery stores (regional chains or independents preferred) Comfortable working in the field 5 days per week Lives within the assigned territory (no relocation) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Comfortable driving daily and working in refrigerated/frozen environments when needed Able to lift up to 50 lbs as part of in-store execution Strong communication skills and comfort using technology (email, Slack, smartphone tools) Preferred Natural / organic food industry experience Experience managing multiple accounts within a defined territory Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating with a team Compensation & Benefits $1,000 weekly guaranteed draw , plus commission (total compensation based on performance) Company vehicle provided Gas, tolls, and vehicle maintenance covered Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) with company matching Paid time off Schedule & Work Environment Full-time, Monday–Friday In-person, field-based role Territory travel required within assigned region Why Join Rainforest?
