TES Technician/Manual Laborer

Job Summary

Temporary assignment to assist with manual labor, equipment operation such as lawn mowers, edgers, string trimmers, pruners, soil mixers, tractors, golf carts/utility vehicles, trucks, chainsaw, etc. Individual will work to maintain the property through weed control either through mechanical (hand weeding or tools) or chemical control (pesticides). Position will help mix soil, plant, fertilize, prune, and any other aspects of plant production. Individual may travel with station staff to do fieldwork or assist with projects at surrounding research stations. Essential Functions Position will be spending most of their time working outside in potentially extreme weather 100+ degrees on some days. Position will assist and help maintain, plant, take data, measurements, etc. on current research projects. Individual will work alone or in small groups depending on the current job.
