Testing Engineer - Networking Protocols

Domain Skills

• Understanding of advanced and emerging technologies like Segment Routing, EVPN, MPLS, L3-VPN, RSVP-TE, TI-LFA and other L3 functionalities.
• Experience in Routing Protocols: RIP, IS -IS, OSPF, BGP, IPV4, and IPV6.
• Knowledge of Layer 2 features like VLAN, E-LINE, E_LAN, PW, LACP & QOS.
• Knowledge on Multicasting protocols like IGMP, PIM.
• Experience in configuration and setup of various switches with Data analyzers like IXIA, Spirent test center.
• Experience on automation framework, experience with execution/development of automation test cases.

Roles and Responsibility

• Participate in System requirements gathering/review sessions.
• Design, develop, and document functional & interoperability level verification tests from systems specification and product requirements.
• Responsible for preparing test strategy, development and execution of test plans/cases and weekly progress / status reports.
• Automating required test plans, conducting unit testing & troubleshooting the failures. Finally making them ready to be part of the regression suite.

Qualification:

·B.E. / B. tech in Electronics or Electronics and telecommunication.

·3-8 years of Experience in working with Telecom /DATACOM product based companies.

·Certifications from network equipment vendors such as Cisco (e.G., CCNA, CCNP), Juniper (e.G., JNCIA, JNCIP) will be preferred.
