Theatre Scene Shop Production Assistant

JobSummary:
This position will assist in the
organization and maintenance
of Theatre Scene Shop.

Responsibilities:

  • Organization and maintenance of Theatre Scene Shop.
  • Help to construct and paint sets for University productions.
  • Collaborate and oversee Play Production students working shop.
  • Assist with other production departments as needed-- electric, props, costumes, and sound.
  • Assist Production Designers as needed.
  • Work may include activities like carpentry, scenic painting, hang and focus of lighting equipment, and building and organization of props.
  • Qualifications:

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure procedures are followed accurately.
  • Reliability
    is important as this is a full semester commitment.
  • Working Hours:

    2-6pm Monday, Wednesday,
    and Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as needed to produce the show.
    This position will require 10-15 hrs. weekly.

    Must be at least 18 years old and have English literacy skills. Employment with ESU is contingent on the selected candidate passing a thorough background check that includes: FBI fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse, and employment/degree verifications.
