Theatre Specialty Coordinator

your responsibilities will include:

·Monitor theatre lists within specialty and liaise with specialty Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) or doctor’s rooms to ensure material resources are available

·Coordinate theatre equipment, consumables, instruments with accuracy and in a cost-effective manner

·Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment

·Work clinically to support VMO and staff (60% Clinical 40% administration) – flexibility to work AM/PM dependant on operational requirements

·Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team

·Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards

Essential Criteria:

·Current Registration with AHPRA

·Knowledge of Australian College of Operating Room Nurses Standards (ACORN) and awareness of legislative requirements

·Registered Nurse with at least 5 years’ experience in theatre particularly in orthopaedics
