Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Thermal Engineer with expertise in conducting detailed thermal analysis for precision optics used in infrared (IR) payloads. The role involves collaborating with design and test engineering teams to build and test subsystems and payloads for cryogenic applications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed thermal analysis for IR payloads, including optical mirrors, mounts, windows, filters, and telescopes.
  • Collaborate with design and test engineering teams to ensure successful build and testing of subsystems and payloads.
  • Lead thermal analysis teams for IR payloads and mechanical subsystems.
  • Communicate effectively in internal and external presentations and reviews.
  • Author thermal analysis sections for Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), and other required design reviews.
