Job Summary:
We're looking for a young motivated and mechanically inclined Tool and Die Maker Apprentices to join our tooling team specializing in progressive die manufacturing. This paid apprenticeship is a great opportunity to learn from experienced journeypersons while gaining the technical skills needed to become a certified Tool and Die Maker.

Apprenticeship Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the build, assembly, maintenance, and repair of progressive dies.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and process sheets.
  • Perform precision machining using manual and CNC mills, lathes, surface grinders, and EDM.
  • Learn die components, die timing, strip layout concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Assist with press tryouts and die debugging.
  • Measure and inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
  • Follow shop safety procedures and quality standards.

  • Strong math and mechanical aptitude.

  • Eagerness to learn and work with your hands.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous shop or technical experience is a plus, but not required.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in or completion of a manufacturing, machining, or tool & die technical program.
  • Basic machining experience (manual or CNC).
  • Familiarity with metal stamping or press operations.
  • Experience with hand tools and shop equipment.

Program Details:
