Location: Khadki, Vapi – Gujarat

️ Job Description
The Injection Mold Design Engineer will be responsible for mold design, manufacturability, and technical support across new and existing plastic injection molding projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop injection molds for new and transfer development projects
- Create design concepts for new tooling
- Optimize and debug existing molds
- Conduct mold design reviews with cross-functional teams (CFT)
- Provide technical support to production for processing and quality issues related to material, machine, process, or tooling
- Select suitable hot runner systems
- Maintain, repair, and install plastic injection molds
- Design fixtures for secondary operations and develop related processes
- Create, update, and repair 3 D CAD models and 2 D engineering drawings
- Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability), moldability studies, capability studies, and tolerance analysis
- Prepare mold specifications and design checklists
- Review detailed drawings for proper dimensioning and tolerance stack-ups
- Revise drawings/prints for manufactured products
- Work directly with customers on CAD files, identify concerns, and propose solutions
- Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Adapt to changing priorities, delays, and unexpected challenges
- Collaborate positively with team members
- Operate effectively in both office and manufacturing environments
- Perform additional duties as required by business needs
Skills Required
- Surface creation and editing
- 2 D to 3 D model conversion
- Strong knowledge of multi-cavity molds
- Injection molding process troubleshooting
Educational Qualifications
Essential:
- Diploma in Plastics / Tool Engineering
- CIPET / CTTC / IGTR / NTTF
Preferred:
- NTTF / IGTR / GTTC / CTTC
