Role Overview
This is not a button-pushing media buyer role.
This is a growth ownership role for someone who:
- Thinks in systems
- Understands the full funnel (Ad → Lead → Sales)
- Makes decisions with incomplete data
- Is accountable for outcomes, not activity
You will operate as a growth partner , not a task executor.
Mission of This Role
Drive profitable scale through disciplined execution, strong judgment, and tight feedback loops across creative, funnel, and sales operations .
Your job isn’t just to make ads work.
Your job is to make the entire acquisition system work .
What You’ll Own
1. Performance & Scale
- Own CPL, CPQL, CPA, and ROAS
- Decide when to test, hold, scale, or pull back
- Allocate budget based on performance
- Scale accounts responsibly without breaking efficiency
2. Strategy & Decision-Making
- Design structured testing frameworks (not random tests)
- Choose campaign structures, optimization events, and bid strategies
- Make judgment calls under uncertainty
- Push back when data does not support a request
3. Tracking, Attribution & Data Integrity
- Ensure accurate tracking (Pixel, CAPI, CRM, trackers)
- Diagnose data discrepancies
- Set up and maintain tracking systems
- Know when to trust the data—and when not to
4. Creative & Funnel Feedback
- Analyze creative beyond surface metrics
- Provide clear, actionable feedback to creative strategy
- Understand how messaging, funnels, and sales affect performance
- Identify patterns across ads, angles, funnels, and platforms
5. Client & Internal Communication
- Proactively communicate performance and risks
- Lead performance discussions with confidence
- Be prepared, punctual, and data-backed
How You Are Measured
You are measured on outcomes , not effort.
Primary KPIs (Direct Control)
- Cost per Lead (CPL)
- Cost per Qualified Lead (CPQL)
- Cost per Booked Call (CPCALL)
- Budget pacing accuracy
Secondary KPIs (Outcome-Influenced)
- Cost per Acquisition (CPA)
- Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
You’ll also be evaluated on:
- Quality of decisions
- Clarity of thinking
- Ability to explain performance shifts
- Pattern recognition across accounts
Bonus & Upside
This role includes performance-based bonuses directly tied to account growth and efficiency.
If you help the business:
- Spend more profitably
- Unlock higher ROAS tiers
- Hit higher volume thresholds
You share in the upside.
No artificial bonuses.
No rewards for maintaining baseline.

- Needs constant direction
- Can’t explain why something worked or failed
- Hides behind “it depends”
- Avoids accountability
- Has only managed small budgets
- Thinks media buying ends at CPL

- Meta Ads
- TikTok Ads
- YouTube Ads
- Tracking systems (Hyros, RedTrack, GA4, custom trackers)
- Pixel & CAPI
- GoHighLevel
- Slack, Zoom, Asana
Expectations (First 60–90 Days)
By 30 days
- Fully understand existing accounts, offers, and systems
- Own daily optimization decisions
- Identify bottlenecks and risks
By 60 days
- Lead testing and scaling decisions
- Improve performance consistency
- Strengthen creative feedback loops
By 90 days
- Operate independently as a growth owner
- Contribute to strategy (not just execution)
- Act as a trusted decision-maker
