ROLE OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE
The suitable candidate should be possessing analytical capabilities and strong domain depth (TOXICOLOGY) , complemented with proven report writing skills. Should have the capability to consistently work independently and in project-specific teams in a methodical fashion in an ‘on-demand’ business-research environment for minimum 1-2 years . The role is to serve as a resource of scientific excellence, dedicated to delivering professional high quality toxicological support to the onshore Toxicology Department to ensure the safety of all new and existing products of a reputed, globally leading pharma major. Ideally, the candidate should have an appetite to learn and grow in a fast paced and performance driven environment and should be a good communicator.

Process Related:
- Search/retrieve toxicological data from the literature and databases to support the safety of new and existing ingredients and also to respond to consumer queries and questions from regulatory agencies.
- Review and document the safety of new ingredients, products or technologies for CH
- Prepare sections of Ingredient Monographs which provide a brief overview of pertinent toxicology information and regulatory data to support the use of the ingredient in CH products.
- Summarizing risk assessment data retrieved on toxicological endpoints into technical documents.
- Identification, analyzing and reporting of project-relevant data from secondary sources and available databases.
- Typical projects include ingredient profile monographs, Toxicological assessments requests, safety statements and product summaries.
- Ensure latest and accurate data is presented; ability to screen out irrelevant/vague information.
- COMPETENCIES & SKILL SET
- Clear understanding of TOXICOLOGY with robust domain knowledge.
- Demonstrated familiarity and strengths in performing information searches on regulatory and scientific databases (such as ECHA, PCPC, EFSA, Toxplanet, Embase, Pubmed etc).
- Good written and oral Communication Skills.
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously.
- Report writing skills, creating reports that offer contextually relevant insights.
- Knowledge on MS Office (esp. PowerPoint and basic Excel) and Internet searching skills are mandatory
