Trade Apprentice - MMCP

Summary of the Role:

To learn and assist in the maintenance and repair of chemical plant machinery and equipment, ensuring smooth and safe operations while gaining hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance practices.

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

• Learn routine maintenance and repair of pumps, compressors, valves, heat exchangers, and other plant equipment.
• Understand inspection and troubleshooting techniques for mechanical issues under supervision.
• Gain knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules and how to execute them.
• Learn lubrication, alignment, and replacement of mechanical parts safely and effectively.
• Observe and follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
• Learn safety protocols and emergency procedures for handling chemicals and plant operations.
• Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and reports to understand documentation practices.
• Collaborate with senior mechanics and engineers to learn reliability and plant operation standards

Requirements (education, experience, competencies and specific job requirements):

Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment.

Must have passed out within the last two years.
