Job opening: Senior Chinese-English Translator Work Location: Coacalco, Mexico Contract type: Full-time / Long-term contract Salary and benefits: Negotiable based on experience

SHP Mexico is seeking an experienced senior Chinese-Spanish translator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have advanced translation capabilities for meetings, production manuals, legal documents, and corporate strategic processes, and will be able to coordinate effective communication between multicultural teams.

Job responsibilities
  • Translation and localization of high-end technical, legal and business documents.
  • Serve as a bridge for local teams in Mexico to facilitate strategic negotiations.
  • Ensure all translations are accurate, consistent, and comply with professional terminology requirements.
  • Promote information exchange and interaction between Chinese and Mexican technical teams.
  • Organize activities to promote the integration of the two cultures and business cooperation.
Job requirements
  • ✅ Proficient in Chinese and Spanish (oral and written).
  • ✅ Minimum 5 years of professional translation experience in a corporate, industrial or commercial environment.
  • ✅ Have experience in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, and be able to perform interpretation work in high-level meetings.
  • ✅ Proficiency in translation tools (CAT tools, Trados, Memsource, etc.).
  • ✅ Possess leadership skills in project management and cross-cultural communication.
  • ✅ Applicants with a Mexican work permit will be given priority.
