Job Description

The Traffic Engineer specializes in designing and analyzing traffic signals, phasing, and timing. This role involves developing traffic control, pavement marking, and staging plans while utilizing Synchro, HCS, and AutoTurn software. The Traffic Engineer is also responsible for preparing specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents, and collaborating effectively with project teams.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering and design for traffic signal sequencing, traffic analysis, traffic signal design, traffic phasing and timing, and traffic modeling.
  • Develop engineering plans for traffic signals, pavement markings, traffic control, and construction staging plans.
  • Work with engineering software programs including Synchro Studio, HCS (Highway Capacity Software), and AutoTurn.
