Job Summary
The Learning and Development trainer supports the organization through training consultation and course facilitation for new hires and tenured associates. The trainer works closely with the Instructional Design team, Compliance, Work Force Management, Talent Acquisition, Business Leaders and Operations Readiness to develop and facilitate engaging training solutions including, new hire training, functional/process training and training designed to boost performance (Interpersonal skills) and close identified learning gaps.Essential Job Functions
Training Delivery at India site level – Facilitating new hire training, functional/process training / soft skill training primarily for Care Center/ Call Center and occasionally to the corporate associates in both the physical and virtual classroom environment.The Trainer is responsible for tracking attendance, providing informal and formal coaching to associates, communicates progress to the respective leaders, and assesses learner progress during the Training session.This includes, but not limited to, brand partner training, system releases, new processes, up-skilling, re-skilling and soft skills Establishes goals and sets expectations for the learners related to the desired performance outcomes.
Relationship ManagementWorks directly with the instructional design team as subject matter experts to assist in developing self-paced and facilitator led training content.Works alongside department Supervisors to provide on the job observation and coaching for lower performing associates when not facilitating training.Works closely with project managers and project owners, attending project meetings when applicable, for new system or processes that will require facilitator led training.
Adult Learning – Incorporates a variety of training methods to accommodate adult learning styles in the classroom.Adjusts learning techniques based on the training environment, which includes both physical and virtual classroom.Collaborate and contribute to the review of training content and materials to ensure accuracy in the content and ensure appropriate learning principles are applied.
Training AcumenRepresents the Talent Development team in projects and initiatives that require formal and informal associate training.Provides feedback, as necessary, to the project managers and works with team members from multiple teams within the organization to help effectively develop and execute the training required for the project.
Reports to: Senior Manager Learning and Development
Working hours: Standard working hours/ should be open to flexible working hours based on requirement
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree Required: Bachelors in Art/Commerce
Years of Work Experience Required: Two to five years of experience as corporate trainer
Type / focus of work experience preferred: call center experience, leading and conducting multi-week training classes with little supervision, classroom training and facilitation, supervision, soft skill training
