As a Transmission Network Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced transmission systems. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies such as DWDM, Microwave (RTN), and PTN, ensuring seamless network performance and security. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimize transmission networks using DWDM, Microwave, and PTN technologies
• Perform troubleshooting and fault resolution for transmission systems to ensure minimal downtime
• Monitor network performance and implement proactive measures for reliability and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network upgrades and integration projects
• Provide on-call support and respond to critical incidents promptly
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practices

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in transmission engineering or technical support roles
• Strong knowledge of DWDM, Microwave (RTN), and Legacy PTN technologies
• Solid understanding of network protocols and industry standards
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and software for network troubleshooting
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
• Ability to work in on-call rotation

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SDH/SONET and IP/MPLS technologies
• Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible)
• Knowledge of optical fiber infrastructure and planning
• Exposure to cloud networking and virtualization concepts
• Relevant vendor certifications (Huawei, Nokia, Cisco)
