Job Description
The Transportation Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the movement of goods for TL, bulk liquid and drayage, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing costs and efficiency. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE**
- Interpret information related to each shipment; gather additional information as needed.
- Determine optimal equipment for each shipment in relation to cost minimization and service requirements.
- Execute shipment tendering process.
- Negotiate spot prices with service providers.
- Monitor daily each shipment in relation to required pickup and delivery date/time.
- Identify and resolve exceptions as they arise.
- Proactively communicate information to other departments and customers as needed.
