Job Title: Transportation Design EngineerJob Description

As a Transportation Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative solutions for community engineering projects. You will engage directly with clients, acting as their advocate and building strong relationships. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor, guiding and nurturing the growth of Engineers in Training (EITs) and designers.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and oversee revisions of original drawings and updates for transportation, municipal, private, and industrial civil engineering projects using Microstation, InRoads, and AutoCAD software.
  • Ensure projects are kept within budget, scope, and timeline.
  • Market potential and existing clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction and project alignment with budget, scope, and timeline.
  • Mentor engineers, EITs, and designers within the group.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Attend and sometimes conduct staff meetings as required.
  • Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Microstation, OpenRoads, ProjectWise, and AutoCAD.
  • Extensive experience in highway design, transportation design, civil engineering, and roadway projects.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering and a valid . License.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in transportation engineering projects.
  • Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with the Department of Transportation (DOT) is strongly preferred.
  • Work Environment

    The role is preferred to be in-office five days a week, from 8 am to 5 pm, with overtime compensated at 1.5x. The position offers flexibility to work from various office locations, with a preference for Springville or Richfield. The company prioritizes work-life balance, ensuring that work schedules align with the team's capabilities to complete work within a 40-hour week. Employees enjoy four weeks of combined sick and PTO, with 40 hours front-loaded and the remainder accrued weekly.     Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
