Travel Agent

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and knowledgeable Travel Agent to join our team. The Travel Agent will be responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking travel arrangements including flights, accommodations, tours, and transportation. The ideal candidate has excellent sales skills, a passion for travel, and a deep understanding of various destinations and travel products.



Key Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget

• Research and suggest travel options, packages, and destinations

• Book domestic and international flights, hotels, transportation, and excursions

• Provide clients with accurate pricing, itineraries, travel documents, and insurance options

• Handle booking changes, cancellations, and emergencies professionally

• Maintain relationships with travel suppliers and negotiate best rates

• Keep up to date with travel advisories, visa requirements, and health regulations

• Promote travel packages and agency services via phone, email, and in person

• Meet sales targets and contribute to the agency’s revenue goals

• Maintain accurate client records and update the booking system or CRM



Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a travel agent or in a sales/customer service role in the travel industry

• Proficiency in Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo preferred

• Strong knowledge of popular travel destinations and tourism trends

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings

• Fluency in English, French and Arabic
• High school diploma required; a degree in tourism, hospitality, or a related field is a plus

• Certification from IATA or a travel agent training program is a plus
