The facility has licensed beds and serves as a Level I Trauma and Level 1 Pediatric Trauma center. It is also a teaching hospital and a Stroke Center. The department averages 40-45 patients per day. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient types include adults and pediatrics from various departments, including ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatients. Required experience includes a confident clinical skill set and good communication skills. Teamwork and helpfulness are strongly preferred. Support within the department includes lead techs, modality supervisors, and an imaging manager. The team is diverse with varying years of experience, from new grads to long-tenured teammates. Technology and equipment include Siemens 1.5T magnets, and EMR is EPIC. There will be no floating among different shifts for travelers. Call requirements will vary and be staffed among full-time, part-time, PRN, and traveler teammates through a fair rotation. Holiday coverage will include shared responsibilities unless prior approved time off is granted. Scheduling will be consistent throughout the 13-week contract with no rotation between weekends and weekdays. Scrub color for technologists is black.
