Nuclear Medicine Tech Location: Nevada Agency: Medix Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Medix is seeking a highly skilled and experienced travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist to fill a gap in coverage for a 13 week travel assignment. You will be working at a premier client facility, utilizing your expertise to perform essential nuclear medicine procedures that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease or injury. Location: Las Vegas, Nevada Facility Type: Radiology Facility Start Date: November 10, 2025 Length of Assignment: 13 weeks (520 expected hours) State License: Nevada Nuclear Medicine Technologist License Pay: Competitive compensation packages and potential stipends will be thoroughly reviewed with your dedicated Medix recruiter. Shift/Schedule: Mon-Fri: Four 10-hour shifts (between the hours of 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM). Key Responsibilities As a Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist, your duties will include: Performing nuclear medicine procedures as prescribed by a physician, ensuring exceptional technical quality of images. Practicing radiation safety by meticulously applying ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles. Assaying, ordering doses, and preparing radiopharmaceuticals for patient use. Preparing patients for procedures, including providing instructions, assessing conditions, and administering intravenous (IV) injections of radiopharmaceuticals. Receiving and accurately recording information regarding radioactive materials and pharmaceuticals according to state and federal guidelines. Reviewing patients' previous exams/reports and verifying the accuracy of referral forms Requirements To be considered for this exciting travel assignment, applicants should meet the folowing criteria: Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (N) OR the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) registry . Current CPR certification recognized by the American Heart Association . Ability to start and maintain an IV. Knowledge of nuclear medicine technology principles, procedures, and radiation safety standards (ALARA) gained through an approved training program. Experience in using radiology-related computer systems (RIS/PACS). Strong interpersonal skills for effective interaction with physicians, staff, and patients.
