Patient Care Tech Location: Aspen, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,203 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Patient Care Technician Profession: Nursing Specialty: CNA Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 6pm-6am Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: BLS required Certifications: RN, Certified Nursing Assistant or EMT-B or I IV certification preferred; ACLS and PALS preferred Must-Have: High school graduate Description: The Patient Care Technician assists with patient care under the supervision of physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurses. They perform administrative tasks to support the effective delivery of care. Patient Care Technicians will work within all in-patient and ambulatory care areas depending on staffing needs. Duties and responsibilities include measuring and documenting vital signs, performing EKGs, and collecting lab samples. They assist providers and other staff with procedures. The role involves cleaning, inspecting, and setting up patient care rooms, carts, and equipment. Patient Care Technicians ensure supplies are stocked to appropriate levels. They provide administrative support to the department, including ordering food for patients, ordering supplies, answering the telephone, and preparing admissions, discharge, and transfer paperwork. They transport patients to and from other areas, including inpatient units, surgery, or radiology. The position requires initiating and participating in resuscitation efforts in accordance with BLS guidelines. Patient Care Technicians document patient care in accordance with regulatory requirements, professional standards, and hospital policy. They may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. This role ensures developmentally and medically appropriate care for all patient populations and age groups. All applicable laws, regulations, and company policies must be adhered to.
