Physical Therapy Assistant Location: Los Angeles, CA Agency: Clover Health Services Pay: $1,493 per week Shift Information: Evenings - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position - Consult with patients to learn about physical condition and medical history. - Diagnose movement dysfunction through listening and observation. - Assess and interpret patient evaluations and diagnostic test results. - Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. - Create personalized fitness-oriented health care programs. - Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments. - Coach and teach therapeutic exercises and stretches. - Use hands-on therapy such as massage and mobilization. - Provide education about injury prevention and ergonomics. - Document patient care history and progress. Requirements - Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from APTA CAPTE-accredited program required. - Physical Therapist, Licensed (PT) state licensure required. - Pass National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) with required score. - CPR/BLS certification. Experience - Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from APTA-accredited Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) program. - Minimum 2,000 hours direct patient care as licensed PT within 10 years. - Pass NPTE examination. - Obtain state licensure. - Optional: Board certification in specialty areas.
