Radiation Therapist Location: Lumberton, NC Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Radiation Therapist Location: Lumberton, North Carolina, USA Employment Type: Permanent Shifts: 1 shift per day, 5 shifts per week (standard workweek; may vary) Job Summary Provide accurate administration of ionizing radiation to prescribed areas according to patient treatment plans. Educate and inform patients and their families regarding radiation therapy treatments. Coordinate with Oncology nurses and Radiation Oncologists as needed. Schedule and maintain daily therapy appointments. Document daily doses delivered, calculate accumulated doses, and track treatment progress. Responsibilities Administer radiation therapy to patients based on physician-prescribed protocols. Educate patients and their families about treatments and potential side effects. Monitor and assess patients reactions to treatment and communicate any issues to physicians. Maintain accurate records of daily and cumulative radiation doses. Schedule and maintain therapy appointments efficiently. Collaborate with oncology and clinical teams to optimize patient care. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Radiation Therapy. Board Certified or Registry eligible by the ARRT in Radiation Therapy. 1 year of experience preferred; open to new graduates. Experience with Elekta equipment preferred.
