Radiology Tech Location: North Bergen, NJ Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,534 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Radiologic Technologist I Profession: Radiology Tech Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: N/A License: New Jersey State License required Certifications: Must meet requirements for the National Registry and pass such examination. Must-Have: Description: The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs all essential generic job functions as listed below. Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by positioning patients and providing immobilization devices. Selects proper technical factors based on individual patient needs. Selects and operates equipment as required for specific procedures. Restricts radiation beam through cone and collimating devices to provide non-exposure of radiation to unaffected parts of the patient. Performs portable x-ray examinations in patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency room. Follows operational procedures to identify patient films with name and x-ray number. Correctly marks film as to the side of the patient taken. Develops exposed x-ray film by processing methods available. Completes patient requisitions with technologist initials, date, number, and size of film. Maintains an orderly x-ray room as directed by the head of the department. Prepares radiopaque contrast media and assists the physician in administering radiopaque mixtures to the patient. Performs administrative duties related to scheduling appointments, patient instruction, film filing, maintenance of records, reception of patients, and other administrative duties as required. Renders services and/or assistance to all patients depending on individual patient needs and abilities in moving, turning, getting on and off the x-ray tables, etc. Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs., and stands for a minimum of 6 hours a day. Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care specific to those needs. This process includes communicating with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregivers at their level. Adheres to the standards identified in organizational competencies. Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required. Orthopedic office experience preferred. Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Skills Checklist Specialty Exam
