Sterile Processing Tech Location: Glendora, CA Agency: SnapCare Pay: $1,400 per week Shift Information: Rotating Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position SPD Tech (Contract) Job Details: Pay Details: $31.00/Hour (Local), $19/hr and $600 stipend (Travel) Weekly Hours: 40 Hours Shift Type: Night Shift Hours: 3:00pm-11:30pm Assignment Length: 13 weeks Description: The Sterile Processing Technician (SPD Tech) is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. This role is critical to maintaining a safe, sterile environment for patient care and ensuring surgical teams have the properly sterilized tools needed for procedures. Qualifications: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CBSPD certification preferred Previous experience in sterile processing or hospital central services preferred Responsibilities: Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and equipment in accordance with hospital policies and infection control standards Assemble and package instrument sets for surgical procedures Operate autoclaves, washer-disinfectors, and other sterilization equipment Inspect, test, and maintain instruments to ensure functionality and cleanliness Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, loads, and quality checks Distribute sterile supplies and instruments to departments as needed Monitor and manage inventory of sterile supplies and report shortages Adhere to OSHA regulations and hospital safety protocols Collaborate with OR staff and other departments to meet daily surgical demands SnapCare Benefits: End of Shift Payments Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability Why work for SnapCare: Get end-of-shift pay through our Paymint app. Enjoy comprehensive benefits that cover medical, dental, vision care and more.
