Surgical Tech Location: Vail, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,116 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/1/2026 About the Position Job Title: Surgical Technologist Profession: Nursing Specialty: Surgical Technologist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 32 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association Must-Have: Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program Description: Assists during surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the integrity of a sterile surgical field. Provides instrumentation as needed to the surgical team. Participates in unit activities that assure high levels of quality related to patient care. Functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique. Combines knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies in performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures. Maintains and checks all items for proper packaging, processing, moisture, seal and packaging integrity, sterile indicator if present, and expiration dates. Ensures that the operating room environment is safe. Confirms that equipment functions properly and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Monitors the sterile field for events that may contaminate, interfere, or alter the field. Initiates or notifies of the need for corrective action under supervision. Maintains flexibility while contributing to the individualized, ongoing delivery of care. Models effective, timely communication with the perioperative team. Participates fully in Time Out Process including Briefings and Debriefings. Assists the team in patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation. Models professional behavior including maintaining currency in new technologies and procedures. Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization. Role models the principles of a Just Culture. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
