X-Ray Tech Location: Athens, GA Agency: Ambition 24Hours Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 7 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Description Position: Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist Location: Athens, Georgia, USA Term: 13-week contract (potential for extension) Shift: 5x8-hour shifts, 9:00 AM 4:30 PM, with one on-call weekend per month Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to perform high-quality IR procedures in a hospital setting. The technologist will prepare patients and equipment for procedures, maintain imaging quality standards, and adhere to safety, sterile technique, and infection-control protocols. The role requires direct patient interaction, proper documentation, and collaboration with engineers, physicists, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal operational capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Perform IR procedures according to protocol and established standards. Communicate effectively with patients and families using AIDET techniques. Prepare patients and procedure areas, position patients, and adjust equipment controls. Maintain safety for patients and staff, following infection control, drug, and radiation protocols. Use sterile techniques for invasive multimodality procedures. Maintain imaging equipment, supplies inventory, and cleanliness standards. Screen patients and staff entering the department per approved procedures. Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation for procedures. Ensure timely maintenance of medical imaging records for interpretation. Qualifications: ARRT Certification required. Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology. Strong knowledge of multimodality imaging procedures and sterile technique. Excellent communication and patient service skills.
