We’re looking for an understanding and engaging tutor to support a Year 4 student who is currently struggling to stay focused in school. The student has a history of EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) and finds classroom environments challenging, which can sometimes lead to disruptive behaviour. This is no fault of their own – they simply need someone patient who can help them re-engage with learning at their own pace.


Your role will be to:

  • Gently refocus the student and make learning enjoyable.

  • Spark an interest in education through creative, tailored sessions.

  • Build confidence in core subjects while providing a calm, supportive environment.

    • Ideal qualities:

  • Experience tutoring the primary curriculum, especially Maths and English

  • Ability to adapt lessons to the student’s interests to keep them engaged.
