The Role

Underwrite Financial Lines Insurance and build strong, sustainable relationships with brokers through your allocated portfolio and in collaboration with the State Manager WA.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Underwrite Professional Indemnity, Medical Malpractice, and Management Liability risks within your portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers to support business growth and deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure high standards of underwriting quality and provide timely, accurate responses to brokers and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Represent the company professionally by participating in relevant industry events and networks.
  • Support the achievement of revenue and expense targets in collaboration with the State Manager and senior team members.
The Candidate - Skills, Qualifications & Experience

About you - What you Bring

You're an insurance professional with a passion for underwriting and building strong broker relationships. You thrive in a collaborative environment, bring sound commercial judgment, and are eager to grow your expertise.

What You Bring
  • 2+ years' experience in insurance underwriting and/or broking.
  • Good knowledge of Professional Indemnity and moderate understanding of Management Liability and Public/Products Liability.
  • Experience in marketing and broker development.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • High numeracy and proficiency in Excel and standard business tools.
  • A risk-aware mindset with a practical, optimistic approach to problem-solving.
