Suncorp, through GIO administer workers compensation across the various states in Australia. The two types of Workers Compensation schemes that GIO operate in are Managed funds and Underwritten. In the Managed Fund schemes GIO only administer the claims management and policies. The risk of profit in these schemes lies with the State Government and GIO is paid a fee for the service of managing the claims and policies. GIO is in Managed Fund in NSW.
