Underwriting Officer

Job Description

• Assess the medical risks of the applicant for life and health insurance. Approves all non-medical and medical cases for up to Php 15M for life acceptable at standard; +100% substandard.
• Make decisions within the given authority that are consistent with AXA Group Underwriting guidelines.
• Review cases with complex medical conditions and multiple risk factors.
• Provide support and services to the Distribution Channel on matters relating to underwriting.

Qualifications

• With medical background (Degree in Nursing or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in underwriting handling medical cases.
• With sound knowledge of medical conditions and a good understanding of insurance products.
• Confident in problem-solving and decision-making.
• Good understanding of insurance products.
• Customer-oriented, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
