Uniserved (Backup Admin Sme )

Basic Qualifications:

6+ years of relevant work experience with Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

1. Advanced knowledge and experience in private and public cloud like GCP /Azure and AWS
2. Working knowledge on tape-based backup software such as NetBackup, CommVault, HP DP and Hardware (physical and disk-based Virtual Tape Library (VTL) libraries)
3. Good understanding on network and SAN concepts used for backup solution design and configuration.
4. Develop and exhibit technical subject matter expertise on the assigned backup and storage systems along with associated processes and procedures
5. Troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions.
6. Be an escalation point for all backup issues and work independently with the minimal intervention.
7. Design, innovate, deploy and follow solutions/procedures to improve working process
8. Implementing changes in the backup environment or create and implement service improvements
9. Good understanding of heterogeneous multi technology environments, interoperability issues
10. Ensure regular reporting to management regarding performance and service levels of Backup systems, to inform responsible management about major deviations and/or corrective actions
11. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in written form of emails, ticket comments, and verbally.
12. Perform daily monitoring and management of the backup environment
13. Perform problem management and incident correlation on recurring issues
14. Create and update documentation for backup environments
15. Performance tuning.

16. Handling licensing part.  

17. Advanced knowledge of OS, database, and volume management.  

18. Shell scripting, automation, and tool implementations.  

19. Any technology-related industry standard certification for L3 skills.  

20. Storage and various OS-level interdependency issues administration skillset are required (Linux, Windows, and UNIX).

1. Work independently with little supervision on day-to-day tasks, receiving general instructions on new assignments
2. Ability to handle multi-tasking, prioritization and meet deadline with a flexible outlook and attitude
3. Experience with enterprise level tool sets related to monitoring
4. End-user and crisis management
5. Ability to conduct trainings, address meetings, vendor reviews
6. Knowledge of Backup hardware Knowledge with HP StoreOnce (D2D, B6200), HP StoreEver (MSL, ESL), HP VLS 9000 Series, EMC DataDomain, IBM Tape Systems, Veritas NetBackup Appliances
