Unit Clerk II (Cath Lab)

OVERVIEW

As part of the multi-disciplinary team the Unit Clerk acts as part of a multi-disciplinary team, facilitating patient flow throughout the clinic visit. This may involve booking, registration, preparing a patient for an examination and arranging post-visit follow-up.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIIES:

- Responsible for inventory of cath lab supplies, equipment 

- Coordinates the availability of equipment, supplies and patient records while preparing an area for clinic.

- Facilitates, as part of the multidisciplinary team, the patient flow through the clinic by registering the patient as necessary, collecting information from the patient, labs, diagnostic imaging, family physicians and Medical Records, and ensures the patient is prepared appropropriately for the visit/examination.

- Communicates concerns / information regarding patients or clinics to clinic team and documents appropriately.
