Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support related to the overall health and maintenance of the UNIX server environments
  • Perform monitoring of server & system health and status via monitoring tools
  • Participate in rotational on-call support, including off-hours server administration and problem resolution & escalation
  • Performance and capacity management of the server environments
  • Assist in change control implementations
  • Responsible for resolving issues and mitigating risks, and escalating issues/risks when appropriate.
  • Provides backup support for peers as required
  • Applies knowledge of company policies and standard practices to resolve problems.
  • Analyzes issues and uses judgment to make decisions.
  • Escalates non-standard problems or issues
  • Applicant must be flexible and willing to work off hours during the week and weekend shifts
