What success looks like in this role:
Administer and maintain Linux systems (RHEL 6/7/8/9, Oracle), and UNIX systems (AIX, HP) across multiple client environments.Utilize Red Hat KVM for both test and production environments.Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.Perform vulnerability assessments and apply security patches.Audit systems for compliance with internal and external standards.Manage full server lifecycle: provisioning, maintenance, monitoring, and decommissioning.Collaborate with clients to identify cost-saving opportunities through automation and centralized reporting.Ensure compliance with DoD standards for system security and data handling.Install, configure, and update software packages using tools like yum, dnf, or apt.
