Role Overview:

As an Upwork Bidding Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying relevant job opportunities, writing compelling proposals, and managing client communications through the Upwork platform to drive consistent business growth. You will coordinate between team and clients for all the project updates.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily scanning and filtering of new job posts based on our services (Web Development, Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, Webflow, Video editing, UI/UX designing, etc.)
  • Writing custom, well-structured, and persuasive proposals tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Understanding client requirements and highlighting our capabilities clearly.
  • Managing and maintaining Upwork profile(s), job pipelines, and analytics.
  • Coordinating with our internal team on technical requirements and timelines.
  • Following up on sent proposals and responding to client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Helping qualify leads for internal hand-off and conversion.


Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in bidding and winning projects on Upwork (Portfolio or success examples preferred) You would need to send in 4-5 custom proposals to showcase your expertise.
  • Strong English writing and communication skills.
  • Understanding of web development and digital marketing services.
  • Ability to craft customized proposals — no copy-paste templates.
  • Strategic thinker with a sales-focused mindset.
  • Familiarity with Upwork algorithms, tags, and client interaction best practices.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with agencies or IT service-based businesses
  • Prior experience with CRMs or lead-tracking tools
  • Knowledge of Upwork’s Rising Talent/Top Rated requirements
