Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and validation of detailed 2D and 3D mechanical designs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Develop accurate geometric dimensioning and tolerating (GD&T) for precision manufacturing.
- Prepare comprehensive assembly drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, and technical documentation.
- Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) with accuracy and consistency across product variants.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into functional designs.
- Conduct prototyping, testing, and evaluation of new designs to validate performance and reliability.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on design-related failures and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, including BIS and ISO regulations.
- Support manufacturing and quality teams during production ramp-up and troubleshooting.
- Maintain design databases, version control, and documentation for audit and traceability purposes.
- Participate in design reviews, DFMA (Design for Manufacturability and Assembly), and continuous improvement initiatives.
