π§Ύ Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced US Payroll SME to manage end-to-end payroll processing for US employees while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in US payroll operations, taxation, compliance, and reporting, with the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios independently.
β Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end US payroll processing for employees across multiple states.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.
- Handle federal, state, and local tax compliance including W-2, W-4, 1099, garnishments, and year-end activities.
- Manage new hires, terminations, LOA, retro pay, and off-cycle payroll.
- Ensure compliance with FLSA, IRS, and state payroll regulations.
- Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors for payroll-related activities.
- Support audits and internal controls related to payroll.
- Act as an SME, guiding junior team members and improving payroll processes.
π― Required Skills & Qualifications
- Overall 6+ years of payroll experience with minimum 4 years in US Payroll.
- Strong knowledge of US payroll laws, taxation, and multi-state payroll processing.
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems like ADP, Workday, Paychex, Ceridian, or similar.
- Experience in year-end processing, W-2, and compliance reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in US shifts.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
