🧾 Job Summary


We are looking for an experienced US Payroll SME to manage end-to-end payroll processing for US employees while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in US payroll operations, taxation, compliance, and reporting, with the ability to handle complex payroll scenarios independently.


βœ… Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end US payroll processing for employees across multiple states.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.
  • Handle federal, state, and local tax compliance including W-2, W-4, 1099, garnishments, and year-end activities.
  • Manage new hires, terminations, LOA, retro pay, and off-cycle payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with FLSA, IRS, and state payroll regulations.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external vendors for payroll-related activities.
  • Support audits and internal controls related to payroll.
  • Act as an SME, guiding junior team members and improving payroll processes.


🎯 Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Overall 6+ years of payroll experience with minimum 4 years in US Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of US payroll laws, taxation, and multi-state payroll processing.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll systems like ADP, Workday, Paychex, Ceridian, or similar.
  • Experience in year-end processing, W-2, and compliance reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in US shifts.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
