About the Role

Role:

We are seeking a seasoned UX Design Lead to drive user-centred strategy, experience design, and execution across complex digital products. This role sits at the intersection of user research, product thinking, and delivery, and is critical in shaping experiences that are intuitive, scalable, and grounded in real user needs.

The ideal candidate brings 7 - 10+ years of experience in UX design, has led end-to-end experience strategy for digital products, and is comfortable guiding teams through ambiguity while balancing user value, business goals, and technical constraints.

This is a client-facing role, where clear, confident communication is critical to guiding stakeholders through experience strategy and design rationale.

Responsibilities:

UX strategy & experience leadership

- Lead end-to-end UX strategy across apps and websites, from discovery through delivery.
- Translate business goals, user needs, and product vision into clear experience principles and frameworks.
- Define information architecture, user journeys, and interaction models for complex digital systems.
- Establish a strong point of view on experience direction and guide teams toward coherent outcomes.

Research & insight-driven design

- Plan and lead user research activities including discovery research, usability testing, and validation.
- Synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights into clear design opportunities and experience recommendations.
- Ensure research findings are translated into actionable design decisions and measurable improvements.
- Advocate for user-centred decision-making across teams and stakeholders.

Quality, governance & mentorship

- Own UX quality across projects, ensuring consistency, clarity, and usability.
- Review UX work across teams, providing constructive critique and direction.
- Define and maintain UX standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Mentor mid-level and junior designers, helping them grow in craft, confidence, and thinking.
- Continuously refine UX processes and ways of working.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of experience in UX design for digital products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX thinking, research, and problem-solving.
- Proven experience designing complex workflows, systems, and platforms.
- Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility, and interaction design.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with strong systems and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast-paced environments.

Required skill-set

- Expertise in UX methodologies (user research, journey mapping, IA, prototyping, usability testing).
- Strong proficiency with tools such as Figma, FigJam, Miro, or equivalent.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Ability to collaborate closely with engineering and product teams.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

- Experience working in a design agency, product studio, or digital consultancy.
- Familiarity with design systems and how UX patterns scale across products.
- Experience working on enterprise, SaaS, or platform-based products.
- Exposure to service design or multi-touchpoint experience design.

AI-enabled skill sets (preferred)

- Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools for research synthesis, ideation, and UX exploration.
- Understanding of UX considerations for AI-powered features such as recommendations, automation, and intelligent workflows.
- Ability to design experiences that clearly communicate AI behaviour, confidence, and limitations to users.
- Comfort working in ambiguous, emerging product spaces influenced by AI and data-driven decisioning.
- Curiosity and continuous learning around evolving AI-led UX patterns and ethics.
