AHF Products has a great career opportunity for a Utility operator located at our Sawmill in Smoot, WV. Reporting to the Mill Supervisor, you will be responsible for operating key sawmill equipment including the Trim-saw, Edger, Gangsaw, Chipper, and De-barker to ensure efficient and safe processing of logs and lumber.


JOB DUTIES:  


Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

  • Operate and monitor key sawmill equipment including the Trim-saw, Edger, Gangsaw, Chipper, and De-barker to ensure efficient and safe processing of logs and lumber.

  • Assist in the setup, calibration, and adjustment of machinery to meet production specifications and optimize material yield.

  • Perform routine checks on equipment to identify malfunctions or needed maintenance, and report issues to the maintenance team.
