Subsurface Mapping provide underground service location, structural investigation, and mapping services with a focus on quality. Due to an influx of work, we are looking to expand our team. If you have experience locating or mapping underground services and would like to progress your career with an experienced team focused on excellence and providing a quality service, with the best equipment in the business then we’d love to hear from you.

This role would suit candidates with a range of experience. We welcome applications from experienced Certloc Certified Locators or locators with a minimum of 1 year of industry experience or similar roles seeking Certloc Certification with salary negotiable based on experience and the value you will bring to the team.

Responsibilities

• Underground services locating and investigations
• Recording and interpreting data to provide quality sketches and reports for clients
• Interpretation of asset owner services drawing, aerial imagery, electronic and visual data to complete thorough services and structural investigations
• Use of a range of locating equipment including 2D & 3D ground penetrating radar, concrete scanners, electromagnetic locators, and CCTV inspection equipment.
• Validation of services by NDD excavation – Trailer Vac Unit or hand excavation potholing-selected>

Qualifications

• Experience in utilities, surveying, mapping or geophysics industries
• Understanding of the differences and applications of various locating equipment, including ground penetrating radar and electro‑magnetic location equipment
• Strong desire to be part of a team focused on quality over quantity
• Ability and willingness to undertake physical work (accessing pits, potholing etc)
• Driver’s licence
• Full working rights in Australia
• White Card
• Ability to pass pre‑employment medical and ongoing drug and alcohol tests

The role will be based in Perth with opportunity at times to undertake short term project‑based works around Western Australia. The working Directors at Subsurface Mapping are Certloc Certified Locators, with over 30 years combined experience in locating and mapping services. We know what it takes to get the job done right and we provide the right equipment, tools, training, systems and support required for you to excel in your role.
