Position Summary

:

Immersive design explores themed and immersive places, pushing the envelope beyond traditional spaces and expanding the lenses through which UX designers view the world by grounding students in the parameters of theory associated with the built environment design disciplines, providing opportunities for seeking how they might apply these concepts to digital, virtual, and augmented reality “worlds.” Students research, examine, and analyze the theory, principles, and practices of space and place by examining the social, visual, environmental, kinetic, and cognitive “worlds” within which these activities occur.

  • PhD preferred

  • 2+years experience teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level 
  • 2+ years of professional experience in designing immersive environments, themed spaces, or augmented/virtual reality projects
