Job Description: SSD Validation Engineer – OS Internals (Windows & Linux)

Experience Required

  • SSD Validation / OS Internals (Windows & Linux): 1 year
  • Hardware Handling (BIOS, I/O Tools): 2 years
  • Python Scripting: 6 months
  • Storage Domain Knowledge: 6 months

Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electronics / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering or related field.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform SSD validation and testing on Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Understand and analyze OS internals , storage stack, and driver interactions.
  • Execute test cases , regression testing, and stress tests for SSDs.
  • Identify, log, track, and report issues/defects with proper root cause analysis.
  • Work with BIOS settings , firmware configurations, and system-level debugging.
  • Use I/O tools for performance, endurance, and reliability testing.
  • Develop and maintain basic Python scripts for test automation and data analysis.
  • Validate SSD behavior across different platforms (Desktop/Laptop) .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including firmware, hardware, and system teams.
  • Prepare test reports, logs, and documentation.

Technical Skills Required

  • Hands-on experience with Windows & Linux OS internals .
  • Strong knowledge of SSD architecture and storage protocols .
  • Experience in BIOS handling and system-level debugging .
  • Familiarity with I/O tools (e.g., FIO, IOMeter, DiskSpd, etc.).
  • Basic to intermediate Python scripting skills.
  • Understanding of storage validation methodologies .

  • Experience with automation frameworks or CI tools.
  • Familiarity with debugging tools and log analysis.
