Varnish Impregnation

DUTIES

• Directs and performs the varnish impregnation process of both large and small coils with the he when required, this includes both department 9 and 18
• Final check of all coils, frames, packing etc. before varnish
• Final visual check on all coils for varnish
• Prepare varnished coils for core and coil assembly
• Maintain cleanliness of Varnish and Oven System - empty trays when required, replace grate
• Heating coils in oven if required
• Perform induced and ground testing before varnish (when needed)
• Prepare coils for varnish & heating coils in oven if required
• Placing them in vacuum and impregnation tanks
• Draining of coils and placing in oven to bake
• Dips coils following specified practices
• Sorts coils and deliver to storage area
• Required to maintain an adequate supply of varnish, thinners, and other necessary material
