QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum requirement of three (3) years of volleyball coaching experience

  • Must be able to help design and implement short term and long term goals for the program

  • Design a daily and weekly practice schedule with specific goals for team and individual development while incorporating a 7th – 12th grade volleyball program

  • Knowledgeable of the fundamentals with the ability to teach and demonstrate to all age levels

  • Become an active member of the Michigan Volleyball Coaches Association

  • Coach must be certified in First Aid, CPR, and CAP 1 or CAP 2 by the start of the 2026 season

  • Must be able to demonstrate success as a high school volleyball coach

  • Must model appropriate behavior, promoting at all times the social, emotional, and moral well-being of CPS student-athletes

  • Effectively communicate with players, parents, and administration

  • Must be willing to work camps and team camps as needed

  • Coach must adhere to Athletic Code for Coaches, as stated in MHSAA Handbook

  • Experience managing fundraising activities for a program preferred

  • Candidate who has worked closely with youth and high school volleyball programs preferred

  • Has a background with running and operating summer volleyball camps preferred

  • Have or willing to obtain CDL, preferred

  • Pass background check
