**POSITION SUMMARY:** Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the Vascular Technologist prepares for and operates an ultrasound scanning unit following specific IAC standards, departmental protocol and physician orders. Produces detailed imaging of patients anatomy for diagnostic information. Assists patients onto a stretcher, verifies patient identification prior to ultrasound scan, selects patient from work-list, ensures exam is archived on the PACS and completed in ITS. Maintains facilities in proper order. Must keep abreast of all new vascular technology. To perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients arterial, venous, cerebrovascular circulation using specialized ultrasound equipment to detect stenosis, obstructions, thrombus, aneurysms, pseudoaneurysms, AV malformations, venous valvular incompetence, vasospastic disease or occlusions in the peripheral vascular and cerebrovascular systems. **EDUCATION:** Comple...
