Vascular Sonographer - Concord, NC

A healthcare role is available for a skilled ultrasound technologist specializing in vascular and general ED imaging. This position is based in the Concord, NC region with duties supporting two free-standing emergency departments operating 24/7 imaging services. The opportunity is contract-based and emphasizes teamwork across multiple specialties and modalities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general ED ultrasound imaging and vascular studies with quality and accuracy.
• Provide patient care support including obtaining vitals, EKGs, lab work, and patient transport when radiology tasks allow.
• Support multiple emergency sites on night shifts (typical schedule Tues/Wed/Thurs 7p-7a) and participate in weekend rotation based on staffing needs.
• Collaborate with diagnostic and CT teams as needed.
• Utilize advanced imaging technology such as Siemens Sequoia ultrasound machines alongside EPIC electronic medical records and Philips PACS systems.
• Participate in orientation including administrative onboarding and departmental training.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer; first-time travelers are welcome.
• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Sonography).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Flexibility to support multiple departments and perform additional patient care tasks.
• Commitment to professional appearance and adherence to facility standards.
